Shuttle service From A to B - it’s so easy


On Sundays and on german public holidays, a bus transporting bicycles runs from Aachen to Kalterherberg in the months from June to October. Reservations can be made prior to the day of each trip by calling +49 241 91 28 90 by midday on Fridays. For further information, please visit:

Please note: As a basic principle, avoid taking your bicycle on all trains during peak travelling times. Bicycles must be loaded in the places as instructed by the train crew member and under his supervision! (no bicycles allowed on ICE and Thalys)

*There are only 4 cycle racks available on the train! Not suited for groups.

At your own risk

  • Use of the Vennbahn cycling and hiking trail is at your own risk
  • No liability is assumed for any damage resulting from negligence on the part of the user
  • The Vennbahn is only for use by non-motorised traffic (speed limit: 30 km/h, E-bikes: <= 25 km/h, E-Scooter: max. 18 km/h)
  • The respective national Highway Code shall apply
  • The markings and signposting shall always be decisive

Safety notice

  • Show consideration for others using the route!
  • Always proceed at a controlled speed so that you can avoid any obstacles in good time!
  • In case of an accident, call 112 and tell them your location!
